Rotating Equipment Engineer

Issues recommendations on the operation of General Purpose equipment within calculated risks based on available data (vibration, process process performance, and process data).

- Executes job requests according to set priorities.

- Reports on general purpose equipment repairs.

- Analyzes vibration spectra, and trends; issues Machine Action Reports if any corrective measure is required.

- Records all data (memos, close-out reports, recommendations) in the REL-ROT file system.

- Analyzes and documents the causes of rotating equipment failures.

- Recommends required stock items for General Purpose rotating equipment.

- Recommends removal from stock of obsolete parts.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

- Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero St. Charles Refinery required.

- Bachelor's of Science (or higher) degree in Engineering required.

- 2 years of experience in rotating equipment required.

- Basic skill using Microsoft Office Programs (i.e., Word and Excel) required.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
