Job Summary

Responsible for operating roll off trucks to transport waste and debris from various job sites. This position requires a Class B CDL.

Principle Duties

•

Operate roll off trucks safely and efficiently to transport waste materials.

•

Load and unload containers at various job sites, ensuring proper handling of materials.

•

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

•

Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

•

Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance on vehicles as needed.

•

Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, co-workers, and others.

Qualifications

•

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class B)

•

Experience operating Class B trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles preferred.

•

Ability to follow directions and read maps,

•

Ability to work on his own with little supervision,

•

Ability to drive standard or automatic

•

Alert to surroundings and especially over head wires, trees, able to judge distance, able to back up using mirrors.

•

Physical requirements: use of both feet for clutch and gas pedal, climbing into and out of the truck, use of both arms and hands for steering, tarping and getting into/out of truck, able to push/pull items in box to get tarp to cover the dumpster. Must wear the proper personal protective equipment.
