We are seeking a Robot Weld Lead to LEAD our expanding Robot Weld Team. This is a working leadership role, making it critical that this individual can Weld, Program, and Lead others.
The Robot Weld Lead will lead by example and be responsible for increasing production capacity through the programming of our automated welding robots, developing and leading a team of Robotic Weld Operators, and working alongside those team members to meet customer expectations and timelines.

- Minimum of 5 years in Welding, Fabricating, or a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of robotics and welding
- Working skills in FANUC specific Programing
- Excellent creativity, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to engage in advanced mathematical concepts
- Provide general programming and engineering support to robotic welding operations.
- Optimization of current robotic welding programs to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
- Follow defined weld schedules.
- Increase robotic weld utilization by transitioning manual welding operations to the robotic cells.
- Work with customers and the business team as needed to transfer new products to the robotic welding equipment.
- Provide training and documentation to ensure proficiency of welding team.
- Partner with the maintenance staff to define proper preventative maintenance schedules and ensure reliable operations.
- Operate robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welds.
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure that they meet all required specifications.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions or welding defects.
- Perform routine maintenance on the robotic welder to ensure that it is functioning at optimal levels.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production processes and equipment maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders and other instructions to determine specific welding requirements.
- Perform manual welding during robot weld cycle, if required
- Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are operational.
- Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
