Chu Cho Industries LP. (CCI) is a resource and heavy construction company that works primarily within the forestry, mining, and transportation industries. CCI specializes in timber harvesting, transportation, resource road construction, road maintenance and operation of resource camps. CCI is based in Mackenzie BC and most works are completed within the Mackenzie TSA. CCI operates two industrial properties in Mackenzie which include an 1800 sq. ft. shop on a 5-acre lot and a modern 10,000 sq. ft. shop and office complex on a 10-acre lot. Administration, accounting, and management for CCI is based in Prince George BC.
Chu Cho Industries LP (CCI) is currently recruiting for a Road Deactivation Lead Hand. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing the BCTS (BC Timber Sales) project on site, operating equipment to deactivate forestry service roads and pull bridges.
This candidate will enforce all required safety and work regulation policies and procedures. They will also assist with the planning and scheduling of work and tracking progress on a job; as well as be responsible for safety, efficiency, delivery to project specifications, quality control and employee development.
Class 1 drivers license, clean drivers abstract and lowbedding experience is required for this position in addition to equipment operating experience (excavator and rock truck). The successful candidate will be based in or around Prince George, BC or Mackenzie, BC with frequent travel to and time required at the BCTS sites. Remote camp and trailer accommodations are provided as needed.
Responsibilities:
•Operate equipment, including but not limited to excavator and rock truck, to deactivate forestry service roads and pull bridges
•Lowbed equipment to and from worksites (Class 1 Required)
•Work closely with the VP Harvesting to ensure all BCTS operational decisions are based on sound financial analytics.
•Assist with the review of costs and metrics to improve efficiency.
•Plan, coordinate and supervise BCTS Project activities.
•Monitor and report all production.
•Ensure that all operations are preformed in compliance with our company policies and procedures, as well as government and environmental regulations.
•Assist with managing logistics, resources, employees and equipment to ensure optimum utilization and maintenance.
•Maintain positive relationships with contractors and employees, ensuring performance and metrics are met.
•Ensure that safety standards are met and that all employees follow safe work practices.

Requirements:
•Valid Class 1 Drivers License.
•Post secondary education in a relevant field preferred.
•Minimum of 5 years experience in supervising operations and employees in heavy industry.
•Minimum of 5 years experience in deactivating forestry service roads and pulling bridges, including but not limited to proficient ability to use required heavy duty equipment
