RNG Plant Operator

Position Summary

Pine Creek RNG is looking for qualified renewable natural gas (RNG) Site Operators to monitor, operate and maintain renewable natural gas processing plants in the Illinois/Iowa region. As part of a dedicated team, this position includes many areas of hands on technical and mechanical process operation and integrated process control. This position functions independently and as part of a team to safely and efficiently create the most energy possible every day. We are looking for individuals with strong technical and operational experience, a background in the sciences, data analytics, excellent communication, and collaborative problem solving skills. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working effectively in a team and independently. The following is a list of expected responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Demonstrate ability to learn and apply RNG concepts and plant operations

 Actively monitor plants for safety, efficiency, and optimized performance

 Understand, implement and effectively communicate site technical information to maximize plant uptime and efficiency

 Read and apply technical documents including P&ID’s, electrical drawings, and manuals

 Gather and analyze plant data to optimize gas production

 Accurately document and report plant status into logs and work orders

 Demonstrate outstanding teamwork and communication abilities along with initiative to work independently with minimal supervision

 Present a favorable background check

 Present and maintain a negative drug test

 Willingness to travel (up to 25%), as necessary

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

 Related degree/equivalent experience: engineering, plant operations, environmental science, or equivalent technical experience

 Specialized experience in RNG or other facets of industrial plant operations including compression, rotating machinery, industrial HVAC/electrical, instrumentation & control

 Experience working with PLC’s and network integration

 Experience using Ignition based HMI software

 Knowledge of AI based site management tools

 High proficiency with MS Excel, Grafana, Tableau, and AI applications

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job will require the employee to be hands-on at the facility and be able to perform the following tasks.

 Ability to lift items more than 50lbs

 Climb stairs

 Work outside in all weather conditions

 Work with large equipment

 The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms)

 Other such tasks normal for facilities of this nature

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
