As a Risk Control Analyst III, you will supervise daily functions/operations to ensure they align with existing policies and provide key support to the business by supplying portfolio data. The ability to connect with internal customers and understand the commodity transaction activities within the business are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Produces accurate and timely portfolio position and valuation
- Performs and/or reviews activities related to hedge accounting
- Implements system changes and optimizes system capabilities
- Prepares and maintains complete documentation of risk control processes and methodologies
- Performs, monitors and leads in the development of processes and controls that maintain compliance with annual SOX certification requirements
- Prepares ad hoc reporting and/or leads projects
- Supervises front-to-back office processes for compliance and report notifications/violations
- Performs contract reviews to ensure transactions are detailed and modeled
- Assists internal/external auditors in the completion of audit plans
- Develops and/or monitors risk metrics, including Value at Risk (VAR) and Margin VAR
- Reports the business units’ commodity position and understands the impacts of hedging on the portfolio
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar and a minimum of four (4) years related experience
- Preferred: Master’s degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Understanding of risk control concepts and commodity/credit dynamics
- Understanding of transaction accounting and reporting, including: Mark-to- Market, Hedge Accounting and Dodd-Frank
- Preferred: Experience with SOX, Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, Openlink Endur, Power Query
, Produces accurate and timely daily and end-of-month books, manually calculate curve shift and origination, identify and correcting problems in books, and performing detailed position and value analysis. Identifies process inefficiencies and develops solutions. Reports trading violations to Compliance group. Possesses an advance understanding of Risk Control concepts and an overall understanding of the department as a whole and the affect on the bottom line while addressing moderately complex and unique issues with portfolios. Implements new methodologies while working under limited supervision.
