We are looking for a talented and experienced Right of Way Team Leader to join our team in Illinois. This position can be based out of our Edwardsville, Belleville, Champaign, or Springfield offices. The Right of Way Services Team Leader plays a critical role in delivering high-quality right of way and land acquisition services for public, private, and utility infrastructure projects. This position leads and mentors a team, ensuring effective project execution, professional development, and a collaborative team environment. The Team Leader manages projects from start to finish, oversees quality control, and serves as a technical expert in right of way services. Additionally, they cultivate strong client relationships, contribute to strategic planning, and support business development initiatives to drive continued growth and success.

Key responsibilities will include:
•+ Team Leadership: Leading and supervising a right of way services team. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff and other team members to aid in their professional development. Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment among the team.

Project Management: Serving as a project manager for right of way and land acquisition projects, overseeing and participating in project execution from initiation to completion. Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

Project Delivery & Quality: Performing quality checks on work performed by project team members. Providing leadership in the planning, performance, and execution of major projects. Planning and coordinating project work to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Reviewing offer packages and conveyance documents. Providing guidance to team members in communications and meetings with property owners to acquire easements or right of way for public or utility projects. Guiding the signing of documents by property owners. Reviewing and approving project deliverables. Serving as a technical expert in right of way services. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing measures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of work.

Client Relationship Management: Maintaining and enhancing relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of service, communication, and client satisfaction. Collaborating with senior management on strategic planning and assisting with business development. Preparing proposals and/or funding applications.
+ May perform other duties as required.
Qualifications for this role:
•+ Associate's or bachelor's degree in real estate or a related field preferred; however, equivalent experience and training will be considered in lieu of education.
+ Licensed Real Estate Broker or State licensed Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Illinois.
+ Typically requires 12+ years of relevant experience, including right of way acquisition experience for transportation and/or utility projects.
+ Demonstrated leadership capabilities with advanced negotiation skills or appraisal skills.
+ Strong understanding of right of way acquisition practices, standards, and regulations.
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance client relationships.
+ Experience with project management, accounting, and other relevant software programs.
+ Exceptional organization skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
including: Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Valid Driver's License.

$70,000 - $95,000 a year
