The Resource Planning Project Manager role is critical to informing and executing PGE’s resource planning and procurement responsibilities. The position will support the Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) Team by working cross-functionally to support and manage complex projects and initiatives (e.g., request for proposal (RFP), load forecasting, distributed system planning (DSP), and program/product planning).
This role will support the preparation and implementation of PGE’s key planning process:
This position will interpret internal and external business issues and use best practices, solves complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations, and may lead functional teams or projects. Additionally, this role will plan, monitor and manage reports and projects from initiation through completion, secure required resources, develop formal processes, identify risks, ensure transparent data and tools, complete deliverables on-time, and manage project budgets, where applicable.
+ Consults with operations managers to ensure strategic alignment, cost effectiveness and mitigation of negative operational and/or customer impacts of business initiatives and projects; works with project sponsor to develop objectives and scope; assists in or develops business case/justification. + Develops or oversees development of project plan(s) including work back schedules, schedule and cost baselines, dependencies and project roles and resource requirements; identifies project risks and mitigation strategies; partners and strategizes with Supply Chain, Legal, IT and project sponsor on vendor contract negotiations.
For this role, the ideal candidate will have experience in utility industry resource planning project management as well as experience providing in-house support to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company procedures and policies related to integrated resource planning. Lastly, the ideal candidate will develop, implement and administer human-centered planning processes designed to increase the effectiveness of the organization and creating, managing and cultivating the employer-employee and community relationships.
Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
