About This Job
Overview
Sun Up Zero Down is looking to add two solar installers to our growing team. Solar installers are responsible for installing solar panels, racking, and inverters on residential rooftops throughout the southern half of NJ. The majority of our installs are within 40 minutes of Atlantic County.
Responsibilities
•
Follow job schedule
•
Upload commissioning photos to dropbox
•
Provide and maintain a current, valid driver's license
•
Construct the PV racking system.
•
Install Microinverters on PV modules
•
Install PV modules to the racking system.
•
Install warning signs as needed.
•
Install PV string homeruns.
•
Coordinate and Label homerun ends with electrical team.
•
Complete Testing and Commissioning Procedures
•
Attend final inspections as needed
•
Additional duties required as needed
Qualifications
•
A minimum of one (1) year experience in any type of construction. (Preferred but not mandatory)
•
High School or Trade School diploma
•
Must be able to lift 50lbs and maneuver a large ladder and other equipment as necessary.
•
Ability to work in hot and cold environments (example: hot sun, cold weather, heat or cold in homes and attics)
•
Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops and in attics of multi-level buildings
•
Ability to organize and maintain paper documents and electronic photos and files
•
Average math skill and ability to use a tap measure.
•
Proficiency with smart phone camera and general knowledge of smartphone applications
•
Must be able to successfully pass a per-employment criminal and drug screen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
