Residential CAD Designer

Prepares detailed conceptual working drawings, and construction documents for ICON projects. Leads and coordinates the activities with consultants and/or other support staff, as appropriate.
Duties and Responsibilities
•
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with immediate results under minimal supervision
•
Strong work ethic with a commitment to excellence for each project undertaken
•
Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
•
Extremely organized, can function well in high paced environment, easily adapts to change and huge initiative to learn.
•
Ability to check own work is a must, plus reviewing and approving drawings of consultants.
•
Prepares complete and detailed drawings for comprehensive renovation and new construction projects involving coordination with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems using advanced computer-aided drafting techniques.
•
Ability to prepare floor, site, and other architectural plans using CAD drafting techniques.
•
Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
•
Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
•
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
•
Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
•
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
•
Knowledge of building codes, ADA, fire code, city ordinance, and other related construction regulations
Minimum Job Requirements
•
Education and/or Experience: College or technical education required with at least 3 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Bachelor of Science in Architecture is preferred
