The Repair Technician is responsible for safely disassembling equipment using a variety of hand tools, impact wrenches, and overhead cranes. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment. The technician will visually inspect components, identify issues, and ensure proper handling of equipment throughout the disassembly process. Basic mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential for success in this position.

Fluent in English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

General knowledge of Microsoft Word and E-Mail messaging, and an all-around general knowledge of computer operations is advantageous.
- Valid Driver’s License
Demonstrated Forklift and Overhead Crane operating experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration, frequently exposed to the risk of: electrical shock, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high pressure oils systems, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and equipment.
- Safely remove components and take apart oil field equipment following established procedures using hand tools, impact wrenches, often times working at heights up to six feet (6’) off the ground.
- Use tools and lifting equipment correctly to ensure efficiency and prevent damage.
- Assist in In-bound and Out-bound inspections, identifying missing, worn, or damaged components.
- Identify issues with parts and communicate potential problems to supervisors or team members.
- Record findings, part conditions, and any issues discovered during disassembly.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards utilizing Lean Manufacturing (5S) principles.
- Collaborate closely with other technicians, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective repair processes.
- Move and store components properly to prevent loss or damage utilizing hand jack, forklift, or overhead crane
- Comply with and participate in the company’s quality programs and initiatives.
- Works overtime and weekend as required.
- Other duties may be assigned to support MFG Shop operations
