Challenger Rig Rentals (CRR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada. Position Summary
Reporting to the Dispatch/Operations Manager, the Rental Technician, will be responsible for working independently and as part of a larger crew to mobilize, demobilize, and service oilfield rental equipment in both field and branch setting.
This position will be based out of our Beaverlodge location
Time Commitment
5 days on, 2 days off, rotating on call . You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours and away from home base as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.
Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):
•The Rental Technician will be responsible for assisting clients identify equipment needs; equipment repair and maintenance, rig up/out of rental equipment, processing equipment returns, completing inspections and necessary equipment cleaning.
•Utilizing a superior understanding of the client’s needs to provide exceptional customer service to form good working relationships with clients
•Have experience working on a wide variety of surface rental equipment including pre-mix tanks, pumps, vac unit, etc.
•Demonstrate ongoing commitment to high quality product and customer satisfaction
•Look for and identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste and reduce company costs
•Troubleshoot, solve and repair equipment in the field or ask competent coworkers to assist to solve issues quickly
•Assist service personnel with SOP and technical support
•Participate in daily toolbox talk, weekly operations meetings and monthly safety meetings
•Assist management in day to day operations in all aspects for CRR requirements, including other items not mentioned above
•The Rental Technician will be responsible to take direction from the Branch Manager (Dispatch)
Required Competencies
•Have Class 5 license and acceptable driver’s abstract
•Good troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
•Have a commitment to safe work practices
•Are able to pass a pre-employment as well as ongoing pre-access testing as required
•Are career-oriented and customer-focused
•Able to work alone and in a group setting
•Proficiency with wrenches/screwdrivers/impact drivers
Working Conditions
•Flexible and willing to be on call some weekends.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
