Shop Service Mechanic

Typical Schedule: M-F 7am-5pm, or about 50 hours per week.

Paid time and a half for overtime.

Our Mechanics work on a variety of equipment, which keeps this position dynamic and challenging. We want to make sure our customers are well taken care of and Rental downtime is minimized. If you can quickly and accurately diagnose you will excel.

Required Skills and Experience:

Mechanical experience of 2-5 years troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing all types of construction equipment preferred.

Possess an appropriate tool set for the position

Experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Diesel Engine preferred

Tractor/trailer air brake systems very helpful

Welding and fabrication a plus

Must possess and maintain an unrestricted License.

Minimum age to operate company vehicle is 21 (required)

Responsibilities

1. Repair machines or mechanical components according to requirements

2. Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. Run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues and order parts as needed for repairs.

3. Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability

4. Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner

5. Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems

6. Keep your work area and shop clean and organized.

7. Top off fluids and components of engines and machinery

8. Provide preventative advise to machine or vehicle users / renters.

9. Undertake other duties as assigned (Repair of hydraulic systems, diagnose engine or electrical issues, etc.)

10. Fill out work orders and report to management or customers on problems found.

Skills:

1. Proven experience as Mechanic

2. Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and

other systems and their components

3. Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read schematics, technical diagnostic manuals, scanners, etc.

4. A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines

5. Very good communication skills

6. A good problem-solving ability

7. Very good physical strength and stamina

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $34.00 - $48.00 per hour

Job includes:

Day shift

On call sometimes, varies.

Overtime over 40 hours.

Weekend availability when needed.
