Overview: The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with assigned customers, sales planning and forecasting, documenting customer requirements, responding to inquiries, and identifying customer needs. This role requires a proactive approach to sales and customer service, working remotely within the sales territory or from the Joliet office.

- Represents the company to customers and prospects within the Midwest (IL, IN, MN & WI) geographic area and with other specified list of accounts.
- Analyzes the territory and determines the most effective way to manage customer call patterns. Promote and sell the complete Amstek Metal product line.
- Analyzes customers’ requirements and develops specific strategies to accomplish both short and long-range goals on how to best service customers.
- Analyzes the territory and determines the most economical way to call on customers.
- Prospect for new accounts and develop business within those clients.
- Provide Vice President and management with a clear assessment of territory, territorial status updates and an annual forecast with regular updates as required.
- Provide required customer call reports and itineraries on a timely basis (Weekly).
- Interacts and communicates with inside sales on a regular basis, reporting on all customer activities.
- Regularly communicate clear assessments of territory, status updates, specific feedback on business opportunities, and relevant competitive market information.
- Conduct monthly reviews and updates of contracts, programs, blanket orders, new opportunities, and prospective customers.
- Office support occasionally will be required as back up to inside sales and customer service team.
- Attend sales meetings, industry shows, and other industry events as required.
- Acts as the “eyes and ears” of the company and obtains competitive information.
- Travel – Overnight travel required as necessary and in coordination with the VP of Sales & Marketing direction.
