As a Regional Sales Manager
, you will report directly to the
CEO. Your primary responsibilities will involve servicing existing customer accounts and actively developing both current and new accounts to achieve budgeted sales goals. You will also utilize relevant operations to ensure the company's Quality Policy goals are met.
- Education:
A college degree is required.
- Experience:
A minimum of three years of sales experience in the metals industry, with a preference for stainless steel experience.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- A self-starter with a proactive approach.
- Knowledge:
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and Quality Systems is desired.
- Service Existing Accounts:
- Maintain consistent phone contact with clients.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to customer sites.
- Promptly resolve any commercial issues or concerns.
- Develop New Accounts:
- Identify and target specific user groups.
- Select and pursue new target accounts to expand the customer base.
- Oversee Inside Sales Team:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the inside sales team.
- Manage Regional Sales Goals & Budget:
- Meet sales targets that align with quality and service objectives for your region.
- Implement company policies related to sales and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate and define commercial strategies to optimize costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Review past sales performance and project future sales trends.
- Provide Technical Assistance:
- Address and resolve customer technical questions.
- Liaise with mills and suppliers to gather necessary technical information.
- Ensure the entire supply chain and logistics process runs smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
- On time delivery performance: maximize the percentage of orders delivered to the customer by the promised date
- Accurate receipt of containers and transfers: ensure employees are counting all incoming shipments correctly and accurately recording inventory.
- Safety: maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (OSHA, company policy).
- Quality: ensure all outbound and inbound goods meet standards, with minimal errors, damage, or defects
- Sales Order Entry:
- Accurately accept and process customer requirements.
- Input sales orders into the system.
- Communicate order details effectively to relevant departments.
- Schedule inventory transfers as needed to fulfill orders.
- RSS Quality System:
- Understand and adhere to the company's
Quality Policy

- Apply knowledge of the
Quality Management System
as it pertains to your job responsibilities.
