Oversight and management of all Regional operations and resources with the overall responsibility to achieve maximum profits consistent with the Company’s business model. This is a management level position responsible for the supervision of Branch activities which include sales, administration, operating expenditures, and warehouse & shop activities.
The Regional Manager will utilize processes, performance reports, data and analysis planning, budgeting cycles, financial control, and other management tools to determine resources and perform long-range planning.
- Direct responsibility for the Regional & Branch Profit and Loss (P&L) and operations.
- Operational assets: Inventory, Vehicles, Accounts Receivables are to be managed effectively and within the measurement guidelines of the company.
- Responsible for achieving the financial and non-financial goals and objectives outlined by the Company.
- Assist in formulating and implementing the overall marketing and sales strategy.
- Design, implement and monitor key performance metrics toward achievement of goals and objectives.
- Develop Annual Regional & Branch Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts.
- Review, communicate and assist in implementation of operational procedures and processes designed by the Company to achieve maximum operational and administrative efficiency.
- Participate in formal or informal planning efforts directed toward long term planning. Regularly engages in efforts to direct activities to support implementation of plans. Monitors progress toward plan implementation and takes corrective action, as required, to ensure implementation.
- Together with Functional Leaders or supervisors, establish short term Regional & Branch objectives and coordinate efforts of personnel to accomplish same.
- Oversee activities of all staff employees, assigning tasks to the most effective level.
- Secures involvement of other Company personnel to assist in sales efforts as needed.
- Interacts with other Regions and Branches to facilitate the effective handling of customer orders.
- Entertains and liaises with customers either personally or by assignment to others, as needed.
- Work toward proactive continuous improvement of branch activities using lean tools and action plans as needed.
- Review employee performance by utilizing established rating system. Assist in identifying and providing training, mentoring and growth opportunities for subordinates.
- Interpret Company policies and procedures for subordinates.
- Ensure all safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
- Review employees’ requests for vacation and approves schedule.
- Review and approves expense reports of subordinates.
- Interviews selected candidates for position vacancies and evaluates candidates for suitability for employment in accordance with employment policies.
- Stay informed concerning new technologies and equipment in order to reduce cost through efficiencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred; Technical or business discipline preferred.
- Strategic business mindset.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Must have minimal of 5 to 8 years of prior experience in petroleum equipment industry. Sales & sales management experience desired.
- Strong customer relations skills needed.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- PC proficiency in MS Office and proven ability within an ERP environment.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company.
- Physical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
