Responsible for monitoring, controlling and conducting activities that pertain to the safe operation of the refinery, taking corrective action when necessary to ensure that all conditions and operations are in compliance with safety, environmental and operating policies and procedures.
This is not a rotational position and the chosen candidate is required to reside in the greater North Pole, AK area.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must have the ability to climb towers up to 105 foot utilizing ladders and platforms and perform their job at those heights. The employee must be able to perform job duties while wearing either half or full-face respirators. Employee must be able to hear process and system alarms. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes the ability to adjust focus.
