Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd., with Local Union 431, have an immediate vacancy for a Red Seal Journeyman Pipefitter. This is a permanent position based in Drayton Valley, AB. The primary role of this position will be maintaining piping and related systems in support of the daily operations at the Brazeau River Complex. Shift rotation is 5-2 & 4-3, 9 hour days. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring work is executed in a timely, safe, and effective manner consistent with corporate and site-specific policies, procedures and guidelines. Please note: This position is not considered remote work and therefore no travel or accommodation will be provided by the company.
· Layout, assembly, install of piping and related systems
· Maintaining stationary equipment consisting of piping, steam systems, safety devices, exchangers
· Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, and then formulate and implement short and long term solutions
· Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner according to guidelines and regulations
· Assist with other equipment repairs and special project execution
· This position may require working outside the scheduled shift and is driven by plant requirements
· Must have ability to work under minimal supervision
· Support the Supervisor in the development and implementation of short- and long-term maintenance programs and standards
· Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor industrial settings; including adverse weather conditions
· Minimum 5-10 years related experience in a gas processing facility or other related industry process facility
· A good general understanding of Maintenance practices and equipment
· A valid Red Seal Journeyman Pipefitter certification
· Gas certification Class A or B would be an asset
· A strong background in industrial piping systems including interpretation of construction drawings (P&ID’s, isometrics)
· Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Maximo would be an asset.
