Recycle Center Yard Helper

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to perform labor work

- High School education/GED or equivalent preferred

- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools

- Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Normal setting for this job is outdoor Industrial process plant with heavy production equipment, rolling stock and inventory.

- Required to use motor coordination and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- May also work in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors and dust

Requirements:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Recycle Center Yard Helper is responsible for processing metal to prepare for shipment, inspecting loads, sorting materials and operating equipment with in a Waste Pro recycling facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Process and prepare materials for recycling, inspecting loads, removing debris from material to be recycled

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment both inside and outside the facility

- Ensure that commodities are loaded, transported and stored in an efficient and timely manner

- Work with the team onsite to complete daily maintenance of concrete crushing equipment including cleaning, greasing and fueling

- Observe and report any potential malfunctions

- Operate the weight station scale-Delete Line

- Greets and assists the public in a friendly manner providing quality customer service

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.

- Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.

- Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
