Virtus Renewables is seeking an organized and driven Recruitment Specialist to support company-wide hiring initiatives and talent acquisition efforts. Reporting directly to the HR and Recruitment Manager, this role will help build a high-performing workforce by supporting all phases of the recruitment cycle—from sourcing and screening to interview coordination and onboarding.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, people-focused, and excited to contribute to the growth of a mission-driven organization in the renewable energy sector.
- Talent Sourcing & Outreach: Identify and attract qualified candidates for field and corporate roles through job boards, social media, industry contacts, and community outreach.
- Candidate Screening: Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and evaluate candidate qualifications to determine fit with job requirements and team culture.
- Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and candidates. Provide timely communication and updates throughout the process.
- Applicant Tracking: Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure compliance with company hiring practices.
- Job Postings & Brand Promotion: Draft and post compelling job descriptions. Support employer branding initiatives to attract talent within the renewable energy industry.
- Onboarding Support: Assist in the preparation and coordination of new hire onboarding processes, including background checks, I-9s, and welcome documentation.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source performance, and pipeline status. Provide insights to the HR and Recruitment Manager.
- Partnership Development: Help build relationships with staffing agencies, trade schools, and workforce development programs to expand candidate pipelines.
- 2–4 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR support roles—ideally within the construction, O&M, or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of recruitment practices, employment documentation, and onboarding processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent the company with professionalism and integrity.
- Willingness to occasionally travel for job fairs, hiring events, or site visits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- HR or recruiting certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS) are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
