Receptionist/Office Assistant

RECEPTIONIST

A growing, friendly and local glass fabricator in Kernersville is looking for a full-time Receptionist/Admin to work Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidate must be energetic, friendly, dependable, and professional with a polite demeanor and positive attitude. Previous experience working in an office setting and with Microsoft software is highly preferred.

Essential Duties

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all of the following satisfactorily:

 Greeting clients, staff and vendors

 Answering multi-line phone

 Process outgoing mail and FedEx/UPS Packages

 Maintaining inventory and order supplies for office

 Familiarity with general software, such as email, and with copiers/scanners

 Keeping front area orderly, neat, and well-stocked

 Quality control all scanned files

 Run errands and assist other employees as needed

 Other misc. office/admin/clerical items as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Experience:

 Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

 Office administration: 1 year (Preferred)

 Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

· Standing/Walking/Sitting: Sitting at the front desk for the majority of the work day; Standing and walking on concrete flooring, pavement, and uneven ground area when in the shop;

· Lifting/Carrying/Bending/Twisting/Reaching: Regularly requires bending, twisting, and reaching. Routinely lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds of office equipment/supplies and glass for customers; asks for help from other employees when lifting heavy or awkward glass pieces; willing to help others with lifting and carrying;

· Talking/Hearing: Oral and written communication required; normal hearing required;

· Vision: Depth perception, color vision, and near visual acuity required;

· Temperaments: Ability to work independently and under specific instructions with little supervision. Ability to perform repetitive tasks. Good at working with others as a team player. Ability to remain calm with customers and to serenely help solve problems; and

· Environment Factors: Concrete and thin carpet floor surface. Exposure to changes in temperature/ humidity while working in and around the shop. High temperatures and noise near tempering furnace.
