Receiving Coordinator Material Specialist

We are seeking a Material Specialist for our growing organization. This unique position supports our operations receiving department. Responsible for the documentation of the shipments we receive which includes packing lists and shipping documents. The ideal candidate will possess the quality of being detail oriented, familiar with warehouse operations and is computer literate. The goal is to support our Material Handlers with all documentation relating to the shipping and receiving loads.

Duties & Responsibilities:

● Grades materials in accordance with ISRI and WSR Standards.

● Compares packing list and shipping document to actual items received.

● Records materials received on WSR unload documents

● Reports any discrepancies via discrepancy reporting procedure.

● Enters data into ROM. Produces ROM tickets. Ensures each package has a ROM ticket

● Ensure work is carried out following all safety rules, procedures

● Perform job functions adhering to WSR policies and procedures.

Skill Set

● Forklift operator’s license. Forklift operation.

● Computer, tablet and printer savvy.

● Knowledge of Non-Ferrous Material is preferred

● Well versed in warehouse operations

Physical Demands

Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 40 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

● This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, overtime as needed; Monday through Friday; weekend work is also necessary on a need basis.

● Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

● Required Education and Experience

High school diploma.

● Preferred Education and Experience

Some previous experience in warehousing and or receiving.
