The Receiving Associate is responsible for checking all incoming material against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure that the item, quantity, and quality of items received are correct. They will enter items received into the inventory system and generate a Daily Receiving report. The Receiving Associate will put material in designated storage locations using a forklift and ensure all materials received are delivered to the correct storage location. They will maintain the highest level of business integrity in dealing with vendors and delivery persons and ensure all local and corporate policies, rules, internal controls and procedures and safeguards are followed.
- Check all incoming material against purchase order and packing slips to ensure that the item, quantity, and quality of items received are correct.
- Enter items received into inventory system and generate a Daily Receiving report.
- Put material in designated storage locations using forklift.

- Inspect the physical condition, check quality and count of all items or supplies at the time they are received and before they are put away.
- Ensure all delivery or packing slips are signed upon delivery.
- Communicate with Purchaser in the event of any discrepancies.
- Ensure loading dock and receiving areas are kept secure, clean and organized.
- Assist the Accounts Payable Clerk in researching any receiving quantity discrepancies on invoices.
- Assist and report to Lead Receiving Clerk.
- Basic math skills.

- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with vendors, delivery drivers.
- Work in a safe and organized manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift certification is required.
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- At least one-year full-time employment in a similar position.
