EDF Trading

The Real Time Trader will be responsible for working with the team to monitor real time energy flow, dispatching loads, and performing as an operator and schedule electricity needs for our clients.

Responsibilitie

* sManage/mitigate risk for the asset owner
* sCapture market opportunities based on real-time positions and analysis of market condition
* sConduct real-time trading and scheduling for purchases and sales of energy and ancillary service
* sBuild relationships with market participant
* sCommunication of real-time market information to energy managers as well as cash and term trader
* sMaintain regulatory requirements with FERC, resulting in some weekend alternative shift schedule
* sProficiently collects, queries, organizes and manipulates large amounts of data in Excel and accurately presents analytical result
* sPrioritize deliverables and manage multiple tasks to meet deadline

Requirements & Qualificatio

* nsBachelor degree required - Finance or Engineering preferr
* edAt least two (2) years of experience in the energy sector required, Real Time trading/operations experience preferr
* edExperience with a variety of power markets preferred, including PJM, MISO, NYISO, NEPOOL, IMO, ERCOT, CAISO and WEC
* C.Familiarity with emergency response procedures, including alternative work sit
* esProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Wo
* rdStrong verbal and written communication skills required in order to provide updates to others including desk relief, energy managers, and clien
