RADIAL DRILL/SUBARC OPERATOR

About This Job

Cust-O-Fab, a leader in the design and manufacturing of shell and tube heat exchangers, vessels, towers, and other heat transfer components, in the petrochemical industry for 50 years is currently seeking a Manual Radial Drill/Sub Arc Operator in our Catoosa location.

The Manual Radial Drill/Sub Arc Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Manual Radial Drills and Sub Arc Machines:

•

Read prints for required specifications and dimensions

•

Set up parts and make layouts according to print for specifications

•

Operate Manual Radial Drill and Sub Arc Machine

•

Measure parts using different measuring tools (tape measure, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers)

•

Remove slag using grinders

•

Operate overhead cranes on daily basis to load machines with parts

•

Occasionally operate forklifts

•

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

•

2 years of Manual Radial Drill experience required

•

Knowledge of how to properly use radial drills to drill and tap a variety of hole sizes in various types of metals while holding a close tolerance

•

Minimum of 3 years’ experience welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components

•

Moderate knowledge and ability to weld with SAW processes in the manufacturing of various types of pressure vessels and heat exchangers

•

Ability to pass a weld qualification test to acquire code stamp

•

Ability to read prints for both required specifications as well as dimensions

•

Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR

•

Ability to be a self-motivated and highly productive employee who requires moderate supervision and who can efficiently execute a plan to make jobs happen on time within the hours given

•

Ability to be a team player who can work well with others to achieve company goals

•

Ability to consistently maintain less than a 5% X-Ray repair rate

•

Ability to recognize and rectify sub-standard welds to ensure product quality

•

Ability to be punctual and dependent with a willingness to work hours outside of a standard schedule when required to achieve a task or complete a project

•

Ability to be a team player and be a company-oriented individual who takes pride in their work

•

Must be a highly safety-oriented individual
