Component Engineers a Central CT manufacturing company with full machining and stamping capability also registered with ISO 13485, AS9100 and ITAR certifications has an immediate opening for a first shift Quality Technician III. Hours include Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with overtime to be worked as needed to satisfy expanding operating requirements and other needs.
Requirements
•Ideal candidate must have High school education, technical school education, or equivalent with mathematics emphasis.
•Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills required.
•ASQ CQT certification and calibration experience a plus.
•Experience with working in multiple industries/quality systems inspecting high precision, tight toleranced parts, sub-assemblies, and finished goods. (e.g. Aerospace (ISO 9001/AS9100), Automotive (IATF 16949), Medical Device (ISO 13485) , Government, Military, or Other)
•PPAP and validation process experience a plus.
•Experience in working in a high paced environment within various production scenarios (low/high quantity production runs)
•All positions at Component Engineers Inc. require access to information and/or technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and other U.S. government security regulations. Position Duties:
Daily duties will be to perform detailed setups and inspections of parts, sub-assemblies, finished goods, tooling, gages, fixtures, etc. for receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspection activities according to blueprint and/or specification requirements including the determination of product quality where limits are not clearly defined, as appropriate, using a variety of inspection, measurement, and test equipment including but not limited to:
•Visual Inspections using the nukes eye, eye loupes, microscopes, etc.;
•Starrett and OGP Vision Systems/CMM Machines.
•Deltronic and Starrett Optical Comparators with an MPC or Quadra-Check Digital Readout Boxes.
•Micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, depth micrometers, scales, size blocks, gage pins, radius gages, etc.
•Surface plate setups using digital height gages, test indicators, height gages, sine plates, v-blocks, concentricity gages, etc.
•Mentor and train inspectors and production employees on inspection techniques and processes, as needed.
•Perform CAP studies, MSAs, Gage R&R's, etc. as needed.
