The Quality/Shop Support Associate is a supporting role for quality assurance in checking materials,
fabrications and assemblies as they flow through the shop. Also capable of assisting with shop operations
is an asset. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude towards all tasks given.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Quality/Shop Support Associate include, but are not limited
to, the following:
- Quality Program
- Maintain the quality systems, follow all policies, and procedures.
- Ensure quality standards are being met across all areas of production.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to ensure effective communication on all projects.
- Inspection & Testing Oversight
- Ability to perform inspections and testing throughout the project lifecycle — from materials receipt to final product delivery with the support and training of the Quality Manager.
- Ensure proper calibration and control of measuring and test equipment.
- Provide support in the resolution of quality issues through nonconformance management, rootcause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Shop Support
- Ability to contribute on the shop floor with fabrication processes: Paint, Assembly, Kitting
- Work closely with the Operations Manager with all shop-related tasks as required.
- Work with engineering, production, installation, and procurement teams to maintain alignmentwith quality/production objectives.
- Safe operation of forklift/ overhead cranes

- Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines during shipping, receiving, and material
- Using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Reporting and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Diploma in Quality, or a related discipline.
- Experience applying and interpreting quality standards.
- Experience in a quality assurance or manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of quality systems, inspection processes, and nonconformance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality software.
- Fabrication shop environment
- Frequent noise
- Airborne particles (including, but not limited to) dust, debris, and flame
- Sharp objects and debris
- Varying temperature changes
- Bright light/flame
- A Fast-paced shop environment, with frequent movement of materials and machinery
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Frequent and repetitive movement
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
