Quality Engineer

Job Description

Position Summary:

Quality Inspector is responsible for performing daily receiving (outsourced processes), in- process inspections, first piece, F.A.I.R., and final inspections in accordance with Quality Process Control Plans, Work Instructions and Customer Requirements. Position will also be required to control, inspect, and maintain all internal metrology tools and arrange for outsourcing of critical metrology calibrations as required. Position is also responsible for extensive routine filing and maintenance of all process certifications and inspection results.

The ideal candidate must be highly proficient and experienced in the use of Standard Measuring Test Equipment (CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, etc.). A self-starter, be able to multi-task across multiple assigned duties, manage unplanned events and take advantage of opportunities and events to achieve results that exceed expectations. This individual must be able to communicate with team members, demonstrate problem solving skills, critical thinking, and prudent decision-making skills.
