The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet the quality standards of our customers and the organization. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop plans to implement changes that will optimize quality.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain the quality system for the plant, including quality policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Identify and resolve quality issues by analyzing data and implementing corrective actions
- Conduct process and product audits to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory specifications
- Develop and maintain metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the quality system and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality system and related procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and processes
- Coordinate and support customer quality audits and visits
- Support new product development and launch activities by developing quality plans, participating in design reviews, and ensuring the quality system is in place
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or a related role within an automotive metal stamping plant or similar manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality systems, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with ISO 9001, TS 16949 or other related quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
