Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the QUALITY CONTROL Intern position in Northern Middle TN, with operations to be based out of our Gallatin Quarry in Gallatin, TN. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and will be responsible for a wide variety of quality control efforts. The potential candidates for the role must be enthusiastic and have an uncompromising emphasis on safety.
Job Details

•Wages starting at $20.00/hr
Job Responsibilities
• Testing materials produced to assure compliance with internal and external specifications
• Provide technical services and support to internal and external customer
• Support efforts to guarantee compliance with environmental agencies
• Understanding of chemical analysis
• Maintain control charts and other required records
• Test selection of materials produced to ascertain production of quality materials in an effective and cost-efficient manner.
• Monitor production and certify test results for use in contract procurement or completion of job quality requirements.
• Operate testing equipment and company vehicles in a responsible and safe manner.
• Perform daily housekeeping operations and maintain a clean lab environment
Qualifications
• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• High School diploma required.
• Computer and data entry skills required.
• Skilled in operating quality control lab equipment and testing materials.
• Demonstrable knowledge of aggregate testing procedures including gradations, XRF/chemistry testing, crushed count, deleterious count, basic geological knowledge.
• Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously throughout the day.
• Basic math and computing/technology skills.
• Flexible schedule (possible night and Saturday shifts).
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; be able to work on a team.
• Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
