Position Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections to ensure that parts, assemblies, and finished products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications. The QC Inspector will play a critical role in identifying non-conformities, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
In-Process Inspection:
•Perform inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process to verify dimensional accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with drawings/specifications.
•Monitor and document production processes to ensure they are in control and capable of producing consistent quality.
•Work closely with machine operators and production personnel to identify and address potential quality issues early in the process.
•Record and communicate any discrepancies or deviations found during in-process checks.
Final Inspection:
•Conduct final product inspections prior to shipment to ensure that all requirements have been met.
•Review travelers, inspection records, and customer documentation to verify job completion.
•Identify and document any non-conforming material; ensure proper disposition per quality procedures.
•Approve final product release and verify all required documentation is completed and
accurate.
General QC Duties:
•Use a variety of precision inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, optical comparators).
•Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, engineering drawings, and specifications.
•Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and reports.
•Collaborate with Quality Engineers and Supervisors on root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring quality issues.
•Support internal audits and compliance with ISO 9001 or other applicable quality systems.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in Quality or Manufacturing preferred.
•2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (machining or metalworking preferred).
•Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T.
•Skilled in using standard measuring and inspection equipment.
•Strong documentation and communication skills.
•Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
•Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
•Experience with ERP or quality software systems (e.g., NetSuite, IQMS, or similar) is preferred.

Working Conditions:
•Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
