Roller Die and Forming in Rossville, GA is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician Lead.

- Starting Pay: $18-$22 per hour with 90-day performance review (ONLY CANDIDATES WITH QA EXPERIENCE IN METAL & WHO MEET THE POSITION REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE HIGHER PAY RANGE)
- Weekly attendance bonus: $50/week attendance bonus, just for working your shift (this is subject to change) - If you work 40 hours per week, that adds $1.25/hour to your paycheck.

- Fun company cultureThe ideal candidate will have Metal/Steel Quality experience, excellent computer skills (Excel, WORD, and other necessary computer software technology), and at least 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a quality assurance role.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5A-3.30P with OT, if needed (Note: Must be flexible as schedule may need to be altered to align with production schedule).
1. At least two-years of experience in a Quality Assurance capacity
2. 1yr experience in reading and interpreting blueprints
3. 1yr experience in using micrometers and/or calipers
5. Experience interpreting part quality based on the customer specifications.
6. Excellent computer skills in all MS products.
TESTING ON ABOVE REQUIREMENTS IS REQUIRED FOR FINAL CANDIDATES.
- Inspect products for defects, poor workmanship and/or document discrepancies.
- Inspect dimensions and assembly of various fabricated products using measuring instruments and devices, such as surface plate, height gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
- In-process audits, receiving, in-process and final inspection reviews.
- Approve or reject parts, assemblies, and materials, and prepare inspection reports.
- Perform "set up" inspections on processes, perform 1st piece inspections and sampling inspections on products immediately following critical processes. Also, conduct 1st article inspection as required.
- Provide training and technical support to other inspectors, assemblers, production teams and other personnel.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Document inspection results and provide feedback to production teams.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify sources of defects.
- Develop and implement corrective actions for identified defects.
- Validate the physical characteristics as well as processing requirements and the data package requirements imposed by customers.
- Perform sorting and rework, when necessary
- Create control plans
- Perform 1st piece and last piece inspections using micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Monitor the floor and fill out check sheets at the line.
- Alert management when a quality issue arises.
- Issue, when necessary, reject tags for: purchased materials, internal parts, and finished goods.
- Perform sorting and rework, when necessary.
- Create control plans.
- Perform hourly audits on production process.
- Participate on ISO 9001 Audit Team.
- Participate on Process/Safety Audit Team.
- Help with customers sites down loading and up loading data
- Perform gage R & R
- Utilize Word, Excel, and other programs and systems to catalog / respond to customer inquiries
- Keep order and maintain Q.C. quarantine area
- Update Green/Orange Tags dailyAbility to read and understand work instructions. Must be able to complete process paperwork as required. Mathematical aptitude required.
