Tests and inspects products at various stages of production processes and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties:
Performs reject procedures for nonconforming product.
Coordinates and audits 1st piece approvals, in-process and finished goods.
Coordinates calibration and repair of all measuring equipment.Coordinates with others to ensure that rejected material is properly segregated.
Maintains quality related document files.Provides quality related instruction and training as required.
Performs capability studies and other special projects as required.Is proactively involved in problem solving and continuous efforts (8D or equivalent)
Participate in gage R&R's.Performs sorting and rework as required.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance / Blueprint ReadingKnowledge of PPAP - AIAG Level 3 (Control Plan, PFMEA, Flow Charts)
Writes work instructions and control plans documents.
Kaizen - 5S MethodologyAbility to measure parts with accuracy.
Responds to day to day quality issues.Candidate will have an Associates Degree in a related field or a minimum of two years quality experience preferably in metal fabrication and powder coating industry.
Candidates must have good Computer, Math and Microsoft Excel skills.
Must possess the ability and skill to use all standard measuring and gauging equipment and to train others in use of same.
