Quality Assurance Technician

Tests and inspects products at various stages of production processes and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties:

Performs reject procedures for nonconforming product.

Coordinates and audits 1st piece approvals, in-process and finished goods.

Coordinates with others to ensure that rejected material is properly segregated.

Provides quality related instruction and training as required.

Is proactively involved in problem solving and continuous efforts (8D or equivalent)

Performs sorting and rework as required.

Knowledge of PPAP - AIAG Level 3 (Control Plan, PFMEA, Flow Charts)

Conducts ISO/IATF Audits

Writes work instructions and control plans documents.

Ability to measure parts with accuracy.

Candidate will have an Associates Degree in a related field or a minimum of two years quality experience preferably in metal fabrication and powder coating industry.

Candidates must have good Computer, Math and Microsoft Excel skills.

Must possess the ability and skill to use all standard measuring and gauging equipment and to train others in use of same.

ASQ certification a plus.
