Job description

At Orano, we’re not just powering the future—we’re engineering its foundation. As part of our groundbreaking uranium enrichment IKE Program, we’re redefining what a sustainable nuclear fuel production looks like for the next generation.

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager who brings more than compliance—you bring conviction. In this role, you will directly support the IKE Program leadership, taking full ownership of the development, implementation, and evolution of the project’s Quality Assurance Plan, as well as the supporting QA policies and operational processes.

You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with elite engineers and regulatory experts, moving fast, solving hard problems, and making decisions that have real-world consequences. If you're ready to lead at the edge of what's possible in nuclear technology, we want to talk.

Objectives:

Manage and mentor a team of quality analysts and QA/QC personnel across multiple Orano USA sites and business functions.

Develop, implement, and improve quality assurance programs that support nuclear facility operations, nuclear logistics, used fuel management, and engineering services.
Oversee internal audits, supplier quality assessments, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) programs.
Drive root cause analysis of non-conformances and incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolutions and documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineering leads, EH&S personnel, and regulatory affairs to integrate quality into all stages of project execution.
Develop quality metrics and reporting tools to track performance and identify areas for improvement across the organization.
Support readiness reviews, licensing applications, and customer or DOE/NRC audits as required.
Lead training initiatives to enhance organizational understanding and adherence to quality requirements and expectations.

Our Full-Time Benefits

Competitive compensation

Health, Dental, and Vision insurance – with generous employer contributions
401(k) with employer matching and contribution amounts

Life insurance and Short- and Long-Term Disability insurance provided by the company
Generous Paid Time Off and holiday schedules
Numerous Training and Development opportunities

and more…

Ideal qualifications

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Nuclear Technology, or a related technical field (master’s degree preferred).

Experience:

6+ years of quality assurance experience in the nuclear or highly regulated industrial sectors.
At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or team lead role.
Experience with NRC and/or DOE regulatory environments preferred.
Knowledge of fuel cycle operations, spent fuel transport, or radiological safety is a plus.

Skills and Knowledge

Strong knowledge of U.S. nuclear quality regulations, especially NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50/71.
Proficiency in quality management systems, inspection processes, and audit protocols.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
Effective communicator with the ability to interact confidently across technical, regulatory, and executive levels.
