We are seeking an individual to join the Mack Iron team as our Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector. The ideal candidate will have an interest in fabrication and manufacturing processes. Applicants should have the ability to accurately use a tape measure and have good observation skills. The ability to pay attention to detail, stay focused, and work independently is important. Having a desire to understand our products and the processes required to fabricate them, including welding, machining, forming, and cleaning will be helpful. The role involves incoming material inspections, outgoing finished products inspection, and product cleaning. The position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
· Incoming Material Inspection: Conduct incoming inspections of materials to confirm they are compliant with purchase order requirements.
· Part Cleaning: Perform cleaning of finished products using a pressure washing process in a clean room environment.
· Outgoing Material Inspection: Conduct close inspections of finished products to verify items conform to shop drawings and fabrication instructions.
· Documentation Preparation and Review: Review documentation related to incoming material inspections and prepare inspection reports for outgoing items. There are also responsibilities related to maintaining electronic logs and records related to quality activities.
