The Project QHSE Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) programs directly at the project site in Gaffney, South Carolina
. This role ensures safe execution, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company and client standards. The position provides on-site leadership to drive a proactive safety culture, ensure quality outcomes, and support successful project delivery.
- Develop project specific HSE procedures and plans
- Serve as the primary QHSE representative at the project site, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and Triten IAG policies.
- Participate in site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.
- Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Provide immediate guidance and support to site leadership on QHSE-related matters.
- Lead and document incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain site QHSE records, including permits, logs, reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with project management to integrate QHSE considerations into schedules, work plans, and execution strategies.
- Report project QHSE performance to both site and corporate leadership.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of QHSE experience, with at least 3 years in a site-based/project role within construction, industrial services, or energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and relevant safety/environmental regulations.
- Hands-on experience with incident investigations, audits, and site-level compliance programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage field personnel and contractors.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Gaffney, South Carolina.
- Advanced degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), or NEBOSH.
- Experience with EPC, turnaround, or industrial construction projects.
- Background in ISO management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
