Job Summary
We are looking for a QC/QA Inspector with at least NACE Level 1 certification (Level 2 preferred) to join our team in Leduc, Alberta. This role involves conducting inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and safety protocols. Ideal for candidates with experience in coatings, oil & gas, or manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
•Perform quality control inspections on surface preparation, coatings, and finished products
•Conduct visual and measurement tests (e.g., DFT checks, adhesion tests, holiday detection)
•Verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards (e.g., SSPC, ASTM)
•Identify and document non-conformances; ensure corrective actions are implemented
•Maintain detailed inspection records and generate QA/QC reports
•Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality-related issues
•Strong understanding of Quality Control (QC) principles and practices.
•Experience with QA/QC methodologies and quality management systems.
•Proficient in data collection techniques and analysis for quality assurance purposes.
•Knowledge of fabrication processes and their impact on product quality.
•Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and tools, including calipers.
•Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
•Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
•NACE Level 1 Certification (required); Level 2 preferred
•Previous QA/QC experience in coatings, oil & gas, or manufacturing
•Strong understanding of corrosion protection, surface prep, and coating inspection techniques
•Proficient with inspection tools (e.g., DFT gauges, micrometers, adhesion testers, SST)
•Ability to interpret technical data sheets and specifications
•High attention to detail and organizational skills
