QC/QA Inspector (NACE Level 1 or 2 Preffered)

Job Summary
We are looking for a QC/QA Inspector with at least NACE Level 1 certification (Level 2 preferred) to join our team in Leduc, Alberta. This role involves conducting inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and safety protocols. Ideal for candidates with experience in coatings, oil & gas, or manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
•
Perform quality control inspections on surface preparation, coatings, and finished products
•
Conduct visual and measurement tests (e.g., DFT checks, adhesion tests, holiday detection)
•
Verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards (e.g., SSPC, ASTM)
•
Identify and document non-conformances; ensure corrective actions are implemented
•
Maintain detailed inspection records and generate QA/QC reports
•
Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality-related issues
•
Strong understanding of Quality Control (QC) principles and practices.
•
Experience with QA/QC methodologies and quality management systems.
•
Proficient in data collection techniques and analysis for quality assurance purposes.
•
Knowledge of fabrication processes and their impact on product quality.
•
Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and tools, including calipers.
•
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
•
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
•
NACE Level 1 Certification (required); Level 2 preferred
•
Previous QA/QC experience in coatings, oil & gas, or manufacturing
•
Strong understanding of corrosion protection, surface prep, and coating inspection techniques
•
Proficient with inspection tools (e.g., DFT gauges, micrometers, adhesion testers, SST)
•
Ability to interpret technical data sheets and specifications
•
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
•
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
