SUMMARY
Plans, performs, reports, and monitors independent oversight, inspection, and/or testing activities. Documents and discusses oversight results in the appropriate format and verifies adequacy of corrective actions. Performs Quality Testing and Inspection activities and provides Quality counsel. Performs equivalent level line function. Demonstrates extensive station knowledge of systems, processes or programs that are critical to the success of the station and assumes a leadership role in the area of expertise.
EDUCATION
•High School/GED or equivalent (Required)
•Bachelor degree in Engineering or related Bachelor of Science (Preferred)
•Without the above degree, 6 years technical (Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument/Controls) experience/training may be considered.
EXPERIENCE
•STAFF: 6 Years experience in line (Required)
6 Years of STP site experience or other special knowledge/experience (Preferred)
•CONSULT: 10 Years experience in line (Required)
10 Years of STP site experience or other special knowledge/experience (Preferred)
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
•STAFF: QC Inspector Level II discipline certified or certifiable (Required)
Multi-discipline Level II certified or certifiable (Preferred)
Multiple Level II Certifications in Quality Receipt Inspection and Testing Disciplines (Preferred)
•CONSULT: QC Inspector Level III discipline certified or certifiable (Required)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTION/ RECEIPT INSPECTION AND MATERIAL TESTING:
•Plans, performs, reports, and monitors QC inspections/receipt inspection and testing activities.
•Develops inspection plans/checklists, prepares inspection/testing activity related correspondence.
•Reviews, comments on and prepares technical documentation and discusses inspection and test results. Initiates and evaluates responses to deficiency documentation.
•Manages inspection, test, and deficiency workload, and prepares inspection and test reports.
•Maintains laboratory equipment and tools.
•Provides input to and participates in departmental planning activities.
•Coordinates with customers and supports organizations to schedule and complete inspections/tests.
•Certifies/Re-certifies Quality Inspection or Testing personnel as appropriate.
QUALITY OVERSIGHT:
•Selects areas for quality oversight, develops quality oversight plans/checklists, and evaluates oversight activity results.
•Prepares quality oversight activity related correspondence.
•Performs quality monitoring and audits as needed.
•Participates in pre-oversight and post-oversight conferences.
•Interviews personnel during quality oversight activities.
•Observes activities review documentation and evaluates and documents activity results.
•Initiates deficiency documentation and evaluates responses to deficiency documents and recommendations.
•Verifies adequacy of corrective actions and prepares oversight activity reports.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
•Ability to understand and apply detailed technical concepts, standards, procedures, and methodologies.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
•Accept ERO position and be able to meet the response requirements.
•Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access if needed.
•Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.
WORKING CONDITIONS
•Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
•Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
•May be required to carry a phone.

•Site – Due to the nature of the work, this position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site.
