Position Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented QC Inspection Lead to oversee daily in-process inspections in the workshop. This role is critical in ensuring all products meet appearance, dimensional, welding, and coating quality standards as per internal procedures and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Perform hourly inspections on product appearance and dimensions.
•
Conduct visual and physical inspections on welded tubes, including weld quality and zinc layer thickness, using appropriate tools.
•
Verify adherence to QC inspection procedures (SIP), and supervise inspectors in following the correct inspection methods.
•
Maintain inspection documentation accurately and ensure daily archiving in the inspection measurement room.
•
Enforce 5S standards in the QC area, ensuring tools and gauges are organized and the work area is clean and safe.
•
Immediately report and label any non-conforming products, and follow up on corrective actions.
•
Report any major quality issues and coordinate with production to halt work if necessary.
•
Re-inspect and verify corrective measures before resuming production.
•
Perform random audits to ensure process control and inspection consistency.
•
Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams.
Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or above; technical or mechanical background preferred.
•
2+ years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection or workshop supervision.
•
Knowledge of welding and galvanized coatings is a plus.
•
Familiarity with SIPs (Standard Inspection Procedures) and ISO quality standards is preferred.
•
Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, coating thickness gauges).
•
Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•
Able to stand/walk throughout the shift and work in a fast-paced production environment.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.11 - $25.05 per hour
