Job Description

Mission: Manage the operation and maintenance of the farms/plants within his/her scope of responsibility during normal and emergency operations, guaranteeing the optimum safety conditions for people and facilities, while protecting the environment and ensuring safe operations.


Responsibilities

Perform the activities associated with the operation and maintenance of assets, according to the Annual Maintenance Plan, the action plans, human resources and the available materials.
Help achieve the operational objectives and the management indicators associated with the management responsibilities and the activities of the Balanced Scorecard, sharing the development needs and progress with the Production Department.
Prepare the documents associated with the company’s farm/plant operations.
Prepare the corresponding activity monitoring, incident and financial control reports.
Report any possible actions with an impact on fauna and report them to the Environmental area, preparing the necessary reports for the involved Administrations.
Prepare the specifications and tender processes to contract third-party services required to meet the goals, in compliance with the laws of the corresponding country.
Provide expert technical support during the execution of his/her department’s schedules and activities.
Supervise how the waste generated at the facilities is controlled and removed by an authorised manager.
Provide support and ensure that all tasks are scheduled properly, reinforcing forecasts and anticipation as a pillar of prevention and risk minimisation.
Provide support during the design and preparation of technical instructions for actions in equipment and installations with inherent risks, helping determine the preventive measures required to minimise the risks during their use.
Act with a proactive approach, ensuring compliance with the safety strategy and code of ethics, as established in ACCIONA’s policies, procedures and practices.
Comply with the best environmental practices through the prevention and minimisation of adverse environmental impacts and the preservation of natural resources, reducing the environmental footprint of the company’s activities.
Comply with the General Safety Regulations and other general QSE requirements and supervise compliance with such regulations and requirements by collaborators.
Lead with example when dealing with colleagues, the team and external staff, ensuring excellence across all tasks, in compliance with the occupational hazard prevention regulations, communication of risks and respect for the environment.
Supervise the nonconformities and its corrective measures, incidents and quasi-incidents, together with the QSE department.
Actively participate in the awareness-raising, prevention and environmental campaigns.


Required Skills And Competencies


Degrees-Certificates/Training: University degree: Science or Engineering.


Profile: Skills according to the role


Languages/Level: English/Advanced

Years/Areas of experience: TBD years in similar posts.


Requirements

Able to work alone and independently
1-2 years of experience in a related position
High school diploma or equivalent, 2 year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman certification and qualifications preferred
Ability to travel for work and/or training for extended periods of time
Flexibility to work overtime, night shifts, and rotating shifts, as required. There will be periods of time that require work at night (estimated at 25-35%).
Ability to work in outdoor environments, and in adverse and extreme weather conditions, in dust, pollen, weeds, and grasses
Understanding of general workplace safety and the ability to follow safety procedures
Experience in operating and maintaining power facility SCADA, control systems, electrical systems, fiber optic communications equipment, power electronics
Demonstrated ability to use computers and Microsoft Office software
Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with hand tools, calibrated tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment including multi-meters and meggers
Demonstrated knowledge of basic AC & DC electrical theory, power electronics, storage batteries, substation equipment and functionality
Demonstrated ability to read schematic, wiring, and one-line drawings
Ability to move and manipulate up to 50 lbs
Ability to be certified and work with both medium and high voltage equipment
Have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport


Physical/Mental Requirements

Work may involve assisted-lifting of materials up to 70 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but is not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Our technicians are provided with the necessary tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform their duties safely and efficiently, along with a uniform allowance. Technicians also receive GWO training and certifications to ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, all our turbines are equipped with lifts to assist with elevated tasks.

Base Pay: $28 – $38 (based on experience, education, and skillset)
5% Annual Performance Bonuses
5% Availability bonus
