The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the procurement and delivery of all equipment and materials necessary for business operations throughout Washington and Oregon.
They foster and nurture strong, personal relationships with outside suppliers and manufacturers while ensuring the company receives optimal pricing, up to date product info and availability, favorable credit terms, and a steady supply of delivered product.
In close collaboration with our Sales, Estimating and Operations teams, the Purchasing Supervisor will collaborate in discussions to recommend which products to offer our residential and commercial clients. They will maintain an internal list of approved products, including current pricing, available supply, relevant technical specifications, and any distinct selling points or targeted customer segments.
The Purchasing Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring the proper tracking, reporting, and accounting of all purchasing-related activities, resulting in well-stocked supply rooms and a seamless just-in-time inventory system.
This key employee reports to the CFO and directly manages the purchasing clerk. Additionally, there will be regular coordination with employees across the company, including the Accounting, Warehouse, Project Management, Installation, Design, Estimating, and Sales teams.
