We are looking for an effective Purchasing Specialist that has the ability to work diligently to help maintain smooth office operations. You must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills and email etiquette. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Excel, office equipment and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Ensure accuracy of all data entry, customer pricing and customer documents reported
•Accurately report information to customers according to specific customer requests
•Service small to medium industrial business accounts assigned by supervisor
•Match Trailer Receiving Report documents with loads to sort to verify they match, sum up weights and reconcile with packing list
•Enter unloading weights into system to create scale tickets and purchase tickets
•Create a purchase ticket and give complete packet to Industrial Purchasing Manager for review
•Verify freight charges for freight companies and charge back to customers as applicable
•Email/call clients to verify pricing, A/P sent, packing list and missing paperwork
•Answer customer calls/emails regarding status of Accounts Payable
•Work with Industrial Purchasing Manager and sales department to answer customer questions and complaints
•Call Regional Operations Manager daily for meeting details on pricing and customers. Type up details and forward by email to proper departments.
•Back up Front Office Receptionist as needed

•Familiarity with office procedures and basic accounting principles
•Working knowledge of office devices and processes
•Very good knowledge of MS Office
•Excellent communication skills
•Very good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma
Proven experience as office clerk or other clerical position
