About This Job

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Steel Purchasing Agent to manage both the procurement and management of various steel products including bar, angle, channel, HR coil, sheet and plate.

Responsibilities

•

Manage supplier base and negotiate prices.

•

Field inquiries from salespeople and manage the quoting process with suppliers.

•

Monitor and manage inventory levels across several steel products.

•

Manage processors: place and track processing orders.

Qualifications

•

3-5 years steel purchasing experience.

•

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

•

Proficient in Microsoft Excel
