Description
We are seeking a full-time Proposal Manager to lead the Commercial proposal development process. This includes management of direct report staff members and consultants to deliver high quality written and oral presentation media. This individual will work under the direction of the Operations Manager to develop proposals for Healthcare, Institutional (such as K12 and higher education), Commercial (such as office, automotive, and recreational), and Federal markets. This individual will need to bring an innovative and creative capability to our team. The Proposal Manager will work collectively with corporate sales and operations to develop strategies to better position the company to win project pursuits.
The Proposal Manager will be responsible for:
•Managing the development and preparation of proposals, prequalification packages, and corporate information packages.
•Gathering and organizing necessary qualification and regulatory documents as required.
•Keeping the proposal log/tracker updated and balancing resources to meet proposal schedules.
•Ensure high quality development, printing, and timely delivery of proposals.
•Managing annual prequalification renewals (track and prepare them).
•Conduct necessary project research and due diligence to support the proposal development effort.
•Attend pre-proposal meetings with operations team members to understand key requirements.
•Coordinate proposal meetings, reviews, presentation practices, etc. with the project team.
•Develop and maintain key proposal media and content that strengthens the corporate value proposition.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements and Skills Required:
•MOST CRITICAL: Knowledge of the construction and/or AE procurement process (i.e. RFQ/RFP).
•MOST CRITICAL: Possess the ability to “tell a story” by collecting technical and non-technical information from internal team members and external sources. Must be able to:
•Track down the information needed, and
•Formulate technical and non-technical proposal content that’s responsive to the information being requested in the RFQ/RFP.
•Ability to meet deadlines and ensure timeliness of marketing deliverables.
•Ability to work a variable schedule as needed to meet deadlines, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends.
•Ability to conform to and apply defined visual standards.
•Proficient in Adobe InDesign.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Detail-oriented and well organized.
•Proficient written- and spoken-communicator with strong grammar and spelling capabilities.
•Basic proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat, and an ability to create graphic media.
•Experience building and maintaining a database of marketing assets.
•Must be able to handle multiple tasks and have strong organizational skills.
•Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks as needed with strong time-management skills.
•Is proactive, looks for problems that could impede progress, and takes responsibility for solving them.
•3-5 years of experience managing and coordinating proposals.
•Bachelor’s degree preferred.
