Overview
The Propane Technician is responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of propane systems and related equipment for residential, commercial, and agricultural customers. This includes setting tanks, running gas lines, performing system checks, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities and Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain, and repair propane systems, tanks, regulators, and appliances.
- Deliver, set, and connect propane tanks and cylinders according to company and safety guidelines.
- Perform leak tests, pressure checks, and system inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and customer documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service and educate customers on safe propane usage
- Keeping service van and shop stocked, orderly and inventory current
- Monday- Friday, 8am-4:30pm
- Rotating On-Call Schedule with compensation
- Availability to work weekends if needed and planned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years or more of propane, HVAC, or gas service preferred
- CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsement (a plus)
- CETP certification preferred
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
