Propane Service Manager

Job Overview

Quality Propane has an immediate opening for a Licensed HVAC / Propane Service Manager position in our North Stonington facility. Candidate must hold a valid RI or CT propane industry license. We currently service Connecticut and all of Rhode Island. This is a Technician / Managers position with time in the field when needed. We have a rotating On-Call schedule that runs from Friday to the following Thursday and is not an option. Current schedule is every 5th week but subject to change.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Leadership Management and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate ability to lead, organize, and motivate a team of service technicians while ensuring they perform effectively and safely while providing technical support and guidance in house and out in the field.

- Technical Expertise & License: Strong technical knowledge of propane systems, equipment, and installation and service repairs. RI or CT license is a MUST.

- Communication / Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with customers, co-workers and the ability to resolve customer technical concerns.

- Department Operations Management: Review service schedules to ensure technicians have the materials and tools needed for upcoming installations and service repairs as well as a balanced workload to ensure timely completion of jobs and adherence to quality standards. Provide weekly list of stock items for ordering to purchasing and have the ability to research and order specialty part for repairs.

- Quality Assurance & Safety: Ensure that installations and repairs meet quality standards and customer's specifications, and maintain compliance with safety, code, and regulations.

- Training & Development - Evaluate staff needs, organize training programs and coordinate ongoing professional development to keep technicians proficient.
