Under the supervision of the Director of Propane, the Propane Driver is responsible for the safe delivery of propane to Residential, Commercial and Agricultural accounts, as well as other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Completes a daily vehicle inspection report electronically as per DOT Regulations.
- Loads bobtail safely
- Delivers propane to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers.
- Performs leak tests as needed.
- Must have winter driving experience. (snow, ice, chain installation)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must possess Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with the following endorsements- Hazardous Materials, Air Brakes and Tanker.
- TSA Clearance
- Must lift and pull heavy hoses up to 100 lbs. constantly throughout the day.
- Complete assigned deliveries within reasonable time frame.
- Must be available for emergency on-call shifts.
- Maintain a clean vehicle.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Forklift experience required; forklift certified preferred. (propane cylinder driver)
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Clean Driver’s license/record.
