Overview:
This position is located in Hay River, NT
Working in a team environment, the Project Support Coordinator supports the Portfolio Planning and Program Implementation teams by providing project support for research, planning, reporting, logistics and administration services as required throughout all stages of capital project delivery.
Responsibilities:
•Supports the Portfolio Planning and Program Implementation teams by providing project support for research, planning, reporting, logistics and administration services as required throughout all stages of capital project delivery.
•Assists Project Managers and drafting to produce complete and accurate project records including IFC drawings, Redline drawings, As-built drawings, Manuals and Reports.
•Provide administration support to the Projects and Engineering division such as by scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes, and reconciling purchasing card transactions
•Provide logistics support to the Projects and Engineering division such as by arranging travel, shipping and general coordination support.
•Assist the Projects and Engineering division managers with preparing reports on projects including current and projected information on scope, schedule, cost, design, and construction progress.
•Assists in project management by performing project field inspections and construction supervision.
•Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Diploma in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering or related technology with at least two (2) years’ experience in supporting project teams in an industrial setting. Experience in a project delivery or engineering organization is preferred. Equivalencies may* be considered.
•Above average computer knowledge and experience using spreadsheets, database, word processing, project scheduling and other related software packages. Good keyboarding skills is essential.
•Working knowledge of construction projects including design, implementation and commission phases is required.
•Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
•Proven verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively project team members.
•Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) is required.
•Satisfactory criminal record check is required.
Salary for this position ranges from $50.05/hr - $60.81/hr, plus a location allowance of approximately $3,823 per annum.
