Position Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing building crews. This includes assisting the Project Manager in hiring, scheduling, customer management on site, overseeing the day to day building operations, ensuring jobs are up to standard, ensuring jobs have materials needed on site, ensuring job plans are followed, communicates any change orders to sales or the build team, doing pre-final inspections, and instills good company culture with the crew.

•Have leadership experience in overseeing build crews.
•Have a great understanding of how to oversee and complete a pole building from start to finish.
•This includes but is not limited to experience in all phases of the building process from pad prep, to holes and poles, to framing and siding, and all finishing work.
•Knows how to read and see potential problems in building plans.
•Able to effectively communicate with customers and employees.
•Able to effectively manage employee time cards, fix errors, and reduce overtime .
•Perform pre-final walk throughs and ensure jobs are complete per building plans before final inspection.
Job Responsibilities
Beehive Buildings operates primarily in the construction industry specifically specializing in building pole buildings. The following are a core set of duties common to this position.
Essential Duties: Managing Build Crews through Vision & Purpose
•Communicates and inspires a vision of core purpose to build crews
•Talks beyond today, uses the bonus program to rally support behind the mission, and motivates build crews.
•Holds weekly meetings with build crews as needed to ensure effective communication about current jobs.
•Assists Project Manager in hiring and maintaining new crew members.
•Assists Project Manager in disciplinary action and termination of crew members.
•Ensure that crews understand their bonus goals and are held accountable to them.
•Holds the crew accountable for accurate hours logged on a job.
•Helps respond and problem solve to crew inquiries on specific jobs.
•Performs frequent announced and unannounced site visits to all open jobs. This includes ensuring the crew has everything they need, answering questions, and bringing them drinks/lunch.
•Builds comradery and culture among employees that creates a positive work environment.
Essential Duties: Direct Reports
Deals with direct reports firmly and fairly in a timely manner; does not allow problems to fester, regularly reviews performance and holds timely discussions; can make tough decisions when all other efforts fail.
•Works with the Project Manager to oversee the Build Crews
•Oversees the Build Crews as a Direct Report.
•Assisted the Project Manager in ensuring that schedules changes or late starts get notified as soon as possible.

Essential Duties: Customer Focus

•Ensures that questions asked by the customer on site are answered in a timely manner. If unable to answer a customer's questions, they ensure proper channels are followed to get the customer a correct answer.

Essential Duties: Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance
•Ensures the building site has proper paperwork, material, and the plans match up prior to starting a build.
•Ensures that building plans are followed closely and that any changes that are required or requested be brought to the Project Manager.
•Any change orders are to be given to the Project Manager as to ensure they go through proper channels for approval.
•Oversees the Punch List and gets these completed in a timely manner.
•Conducts pre-final inspections and ensures the building is “complete” prior to Project Manager doing a final inspection.

Essential Duties: Financial/Business Acumen

•Collects receipts weekly from those with credit cards. Ensures that every receipt has an accurate PO on it.
•Helps the Project Manager and the Project Manager Assistant order supplies when necessary.
