Summary
Working under the direct supervision of the Program Construction Manager, the Project Planning Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining construction schedules, assigning projects to contractors and FCC's, updating construction status information in CST and Maximo, leading construction meetings with contract resources, and communicating with various organizations to ensure construction readiness/completion. The assigned projects are in various stages of activity and are occurring simultaneously in most instances. The Project Planning Coordinator is therefore required to prioritize work and generate reports that are consistent with the goals set forth by the DPMO and Oncor as a whole.
The Project Planning Coordinator is expected to work with multiple internal organizations including DPMO and PMDS to forecast inbound projects and maintain a construction schedule that is consistent with company priorities. The scope of projects that this position will monitor will be related (but not limited) to overhead maintenance, wildfire mitigation, and system resiliency program.
Must be available for storm and after hours support when needed.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
•Forecasts, plans and coordinates Distribution maintenance and construction projects.
•Forecasts resources to maintain an even and efficient workforce during periods of fluctuating workload.
•Effectively respond to change and adjust priorities on short notice.
•Establish trust, exhibit commitment, build and maintain relationships with cross functional organizations.
•Facilitate cross functional team communications to resolve issues to programs/projects.
•Develop, apply and maintain a high-level of project management standards.
•Anticipate potential risks and document contingency plans to mitigate risk.
•Develop and develop reports on the status of projects as well as metrics for success.
•Interface between Distribution Services, Asset Management, DPMO, PMDS & Contract Resources.
•Identify and implement process improvement measures to improve efficiencies.
•Promote and actively participate in safe work practices.
•Clearly and concisely expresses ideas and concepts in individual or group situations.
•Adheres to Distribution Operations processes.
Skills
•Ability to perform responsibilities with limited supervision.
•Ability to analyze data and reports to produce applicable information.
•Strong Knowledge of Project Tracking software (ex. - Maximo or WAM), Resource Scheduling Tools (ex.- CST), Mapping Tools (ex. - Aegis and Google Maps) and Crew Dispatching Tools (ex. - iDispatch)
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

Education And Experience
•High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
•Bachelor's Degree with focus in Project Management / Engineering with 4 years related experience or High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 10 years related experience is encouraged to apply.
